Triptychs

In this lesson we focused on  Triptychs. It's where you take photo's of somesones head, chest and feet and edit them together. You don't need to just take a photo of one person, you can use others head and edit it onto someone elses body. They present two or three images which can be from the same session or they can be polar opposites to show opposition or contrasting ideas.  This video link is an example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVhIASG5gp0

Lightroom

Lightroom is an editing software. Lighroom is like photoshop but photoshop in my opinion is more complicated to use. I have used this software to edit photo's. I'll post a photo below which i have edited.

Here is a link to a video on youtube about what lightroom is.

Portrait photography

Since we were coming to an end with portrait photography, it was time to show Mr Steve what we have learnt. He put our trust in us to set up our own photo shoot. We had to set up the camera (Canon 5d) cambo stand and the studio lights. Here are some of the photo's i had taken and some i had taken of a friend.

David Hockney

Recently we have been introduced to the work of David Hockney above is my piece of Hockney work. I used a canon 400d. I put the images together using photoshop.

DAvid Hockney is a English painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer, who is based in Bridlington, Yorkshire and Kensington, London. David Hockney has also worked with photography, or, more precisely, photocollage. Using varying numbers of Polaroid snaps or photolab-prints of a single subject Hockney arranged a patchwork to make a composite image.

Here is an example of his work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCnkbPs2HtI
