Low key lighting lesson

Today i started off by looking into a photography book of images of low key lighting. Low key light accentuates the contours of an object by throwing areas into shade while a fill light or reflector may illuminate the shadow areas to control contrast.

We used black flags to stop the light reflecting, we had a light above and to the left of the camera. After taking a few photos we change around the settings to get different effects. I'm camera shy, so i didn't have a photo taken. I did take a few though, and i will upload when i receive them. Also we uploaded the pictures we had taken onto a editing software called lightroom. Here is an example.
